WTF??? Shipping Costs

I has my bro ship out my old heads the other day, and the shipping was $115 for them

stupid me, I told the guy shipping would be about $50 and I'd split the cost, .

Anyways, people all the time say shipping for iron heads about $50 on ebay,

My aluminum ones were only $30.

That is because they were probably boxed together in a single box.
They weigh about 100lbs together, and UPS charges $3.50/lbs for any pound over 70lbs.
It would have been about $16-25 for each head if they were shipped seperate.

I made that mistake a few months ago. I took them home and re-boxed them so I'd pay $30 instead of $70.

I think its time to buy shares in UPS as they know how to make money. Just to get them to broker a set of headers coming to me in Canada they charged 50 CDN.

$3.50/ lb that is just rediculous, that should be fuggin illegal for them to charge that

It's because it's an overweight package. It's actually more per pound depending on how far you are shipping.

I finally sold my ZZ4 water pump for $35 last night and when i went to ship it today, it cost $17+! Not a bad deal, getting a brand new water pump for $20. Shiping does blow! The box only came up to 15lbs too. It was shipped to the central US. When i shipped my old SS wheels it was $79, not bad i guess.
