Machine or Handsand before polishing plenum?

Hi,

I started sanding and polishing my plenum last spring and it looks pretty descent but....there are still a few imperfections I'd like to get out. So......would it be better to hand sand or to use an electric in-line sander? Any info would be great, thanks guys...!
