Relocating hatch and auto window switch question

Relocating hatch and auto window switch question
I'm thinking about putting these switches in side the ashtrey so they could be covered by the ashtrey lid. Anyone have any suggestions on what kind of fabrication I need to do in order to accomplish this mission
