i bought a 86z28 hood to repleace my 90 rs hood that had a dent in it. so today i put the z hood on and the side line up ok but the front of the hood wont go down all the way its up about 2in and i cant figure out why. so i was wondering if all the thrid gen hood are the same underneith or am i doing something wong. THanks

 

All 82-92 camaro hoods are interchangeable. You might have to adjust the latch, it sounds like it is not in the right position on the hood. They wouldnt make 2 inch of difference but the rubber supports can be lowered in needed. The only thing i tink would do this is the latch i would make sure its lined up first. hope this is of some help, goodluck!

From the picture it kind looks like your front cover is knocked down a little. If the sides line up the front should aswell. Doest the very front still look like it is in the right position. If you hit something with it maybe the plactic cover got pushed down. Just a guess really, I cant thing of anythingelse that it might be. Sorry this isnt much help. goodluck fixing it.
