what next?

How goes it my fellow Third-genners? I fell into a little bit of money for Christmas and again asking myself the question how do I get more power? I have the very impressive 5.0 L T.P.I and the only mods I've done are 2 K&N Air Filters, 2.5" pipes w/ a Flowmaster Muffler. Very little, I know, so I'm wondering what you all think would be the best way to get my car faster? I'm not a mechanic and to be honest I suck at the whole car thing but I'm working on it. So easy-to-do stuff would be better or stuff that is already set up and all that good stuff. Thanks again.

Headers and removal of A.I.R. System would be a good start

Or maybe gears

one good start would be posting this in the tpi or tech/gen. engine forums.... but since its here do like flylow said.

3.73 gears and some headers w/ ypipe are what you should start out with. I run 3.42 slp posi with mine and edelbrock shorty headers. They are the best bolt ons to start out with without digging into your motor. Removing the air system is a good way to get rid of some weight and clutter.

the cat is basically stock, they replaced it when they did the exhaust but it was a replica. Why type of gears do you recommend and headers?
