Tire sizes?

What is the largest width tire that I can fit on a 9.5" rim? Is 275 it or can I go a size or two bigger?

Thanks in advance.

That's about it.

I've seen 315s on 11" wheels, but those were 11" wheels.

I made this for future reference.

Save it if you like. It's handy to have laying around.

The widest you ever want to go (especially on a low profile tire) is 1-1.5" wider than the wheel it's on.

285's are standard on the rear of a few years of LT1 Vettes. They should be readily available.
