wheel dimensions

I'm gonna get me a set of basset wheels for my car, I was wondering what backspacing will fit? I'd like the tires to fit a little wider than stock but also want to be able to turn, what the biggest tire that I could put on a 15 inch wheel withought problems? I'm putting same size tires front and back
