I finished putting in the lowering springs in the weekend. I got an instant 3/4 drop all the way around. How long before it finishes dropping? They are suppose to be 1 3/4 front and 1 1/2 rear. I dont know if you guys can tell its any lower but I can ,, alittle, I want it to drop just a tad more.

Whatcha think?

Looks just right if you ask me, nice job. How much of a PITA were the front ones? If its not that bad, then I think I'll swipe a set. Also, where did you order them from?

Nice job, personally I think it looks great like that. Shouldn't take that long for them to settle, just keep driving it.

looks very nice; to get a real noticeable drop you'll want the 2" drop. what rubber are you running?

Thanx guys, its always good to get your input on my progress.

My tires are old 55000 mile Dayton Daytona ZR 245/50/16's...I need some new tire BAD!!! I have no tread left on any of the tires, thats one of the reasons I dont drive it in the rain. I think that if I had a new set of tires it would fill up the gap more.

I e-mailed the guy about the drop and he said that they will settle and I should see atleast another .5" if not more. Maybe im just looking at it wrong or measuring wrong....cause when I first put them in I got an instant 3/4" drop all the way around, thats without driving it and if I was to get an other inch on the front, MAN! my tires would almost be touching the fender, I dont want it that low.
(Kandie) when you ask what rubber am I running are you asking about the tires?

(IROCZTWENTYGR8) yeah my rims are polished and the middles were painted metallic gun metal grey....I had them polished about a year ago, didnt clear coat them and they are holdin up pretty good. Camaro guys around here stop me all the time and ask where I got them done at. Not to brag or anything but I have the nicest IROC around that I have seen on the street here.

The springs I got are Drop Zones and I got them off Ebay and the guys sells them on there all the time. He starts his bidding out at $50 and I just happen to win them for $76 but they never go over $85-$90 so if your on a budget I think they are a great deal.

As far as performance, how can I tell if they are good or not...My handlin feels better...I like em!!....

today was nice outside so I cleaned it up, AGAIN! people think im crazy for keepin my car so clean but hey atleast it looks nice. I like a clean car.

Next on my list are some SFC's....
Ive think Ive mess with the suspension enough withut putting Subs on...I gotta do that before I screw up the frame and crap!...
I wish I knew how to make them but I dont so I guess I'll get me some from Spohn's

After my SFC's and a Megashifter...I need to start putting some performance mods under the hood...I think I got a fast looking car and people mess with me all the time and I dont think I got anything for em...thanx to this 305...LOL

Im not made of money, I'll just put some add-on to atleast get me in the mid to low 14's that sould be able to take care of most of the stangs around here ....I hope! LOL

Man I have to tell you that I am against lowering a vehicle that will not be used on the track almost everytime. I would never do that to any vehicle. Typically a vehicle is at the optimum height for driveability from the factory. That having been said, it looks good man. I wouldn't go any lower though.

Ah, 87WS6, I kinda dont understand what you saying? You would not lower a car that is used at the track or you would? and why?

They look real nice. Who did them?? Was the paint you used close to stock?? Is there anyway to mask all that off when polishing instead of having to repaint??

Looks like your springs have some settling to do. Still looks good. I prefer to drop my car with drop spindles in the front, but I can't find them for thirdgens anymore.

The pics shows my car right after the springs were installed. They are showing only a 3/4" drop so far but the person I bought them from said that the springs need time to settle and I should see atleast another 1/2". Also I think my tires being so far gone are showing more of the fender gap than normal...I mean my tries are so rounded its not even funny, giving that newer tires have so much more tread. I dont know!......I do hope I get atleast another 1/2" I will be very satisfied with them. I guess only time will tell. I wonder how much time I should give them..
