can you tell us exactly how you went about it? did you use a spray gun? what did you use to sand down the old paint and priming it? It looks really good. I'll be taking on this project in the next few days. thanks.

i work at a body shop so i had all the tools of the trade. i first started by sanding all the cracks(in the paint. i had none in the actual bumper) and scratches out with a DA sander. i used 320 grade sand paper with the DA. some spots on the bumper had to be sanded down to the plastic. once all that was done, i wet sanded the entire bumper with 400 grade sand paper. i had to apply some light body filler in some areas. once the filler was dry, i sanded that with 180 and then 320. once all that was done, i washed it and dried it. after looking it over and over to make sure everything was sanded, i primed it. yes i did use a spray gun. i applied 3 coats of primer to the hole bumper. i put about 5 coats of primer on the all the heavy stress cracks. once that was all dried, i sprayed guild coat over the entire bumper. the next day i wet sanded the bumper with 600 grade sand paper. i wasn't the one who painted it. i am friends with the painter at my work and he said he would do it for free. if you have any other question, please feel free to ask.

we use PPG urathane paint( i think. i double check with the painter if you want) at my work. my friend (the guy who painted it) didn't use flex because we don't use that at work. he said i should be fine.
