Need suggestions with tint

Hey guy's, first off, I live in jersey. On friday I'm scheduled to get my windows tinted. I told the guy I want something light enough where I can see out of the windows, but dark enough as to where people know it's tinted and after I spoke with him, I thought, I also don't want to get my ***** busted by the cops. He told me to prolly go with 20%, now I've seen 20% and it look pretty dark. Now granted I'll see samples before I make my final decision when I drop my car off, but what do you guy's think I should do? what percent should I get and pics would be great if you have any.

Thanks, Ted

Not sure about your local laws, but 20% is illegal here on side windows. OF course, I drove around with 5% for three years without any hassles.
