How does this look?

Well, I like the no ground effects look on my bird, but I don't like the large ground cleareance on the front. I wanted an airdam, but I couldn't find one that I liked except the stock Trans Am one.

So I am going to put a TA Front on my bird with no ground effects on the side and rear regardless of what you think, I just wanted to know what your opinion is on it.

This is pic of what I mean, I think this is Maverik544's car.

I dunno, looks kind of unfinished to me. I always thought a set of nice chrome side pipes would look good on our cars, by the way can someone photoshop a set on my car for me ??

I think its great, more of a muscle car look ya know? Because the 2nd gens had the rockers flow under but the nose go down to the ground I like it a lot.

Just lower it 1.5" to close up that gap. Then it will look like Quktrip 's car (which looks BAD! )

It still would not be low enough to the ground for me. Would a 91 -92 TA style nose work better? It would be more expensive though.

Hell no .. the 91-92 nose looks bad IMO .. if ya have to get one do the 85-90 TA nose or the 84 nose (my fav the one im putting on my car)

Well, a used 91-92 nose is too hard to find and costs 3 times as much as a used 85-90 nose. I will stick with the 85-90 style. It does look kind of unfinished, but I still like it.

Razzi makes a front air dam that looks like a TA peice, but I might as well just get the real one since it is better quality.

If I had a V8, I would go with ground effects all around, but since I don't, the TA front is fine for me. I guess my car will kind of look a bit odd too.

Maybe if you molded the frontfender GFX to flow into the GFXlessness so it looks like its supposed to just have front gfx or if you put the rear 82 TA gfx in the rear with it .. photoshop anyone? I think that would go great

to me, it's cooler than a stock bird, but not quite as cool as a trans am.

i've never grown to appreciate the large ground clearance on stock birds ...on the front or sides or back... so anything that fixes that looks cool to me, but ... why stop at just the front?

I don't quite know why, but that gray bird does something for me, wheels and all.

I would just add the rest of the GFX. The hardest part to find is the front bumper, so once you've got that, the rest of the stuff is easy to find. Putting the rocker skirts on might be a bit of a challenge though, which is the same problem im going to have with my car. I have a whole set of ground effects waiting to be put on, but I have got to figure out how to put the rocker skirts on. On cars which came factory with them, there are metal plate things which hang off the rocker panels and the GFX bolt to.

I am going to revise my first statement. I will have a front air dam, regardless of what design I go with. If I can get my hands on some drop spindles then I will be lowering my car 2."

I was reveiwing the TA front clip over dinner, and the quarter ground effects come down a bit too low, and the front is a little too square to really flow ok without groundeffects. So the stock TA fronts are out.

I like the way my front bumper looks now without the bumperettes, but it still needs some finishing work done on it, since it kind of has some rough edges.

Right now I am thinking of something custom made that lowers the front end, but still flows well with no ground effects.

I think I will draw something up. First I have to find a good design, then figure out how to make it, then figure out how to attatch it.

What about the front ground effects off of an 84 TA? I think that might just be subtle enough and still look good. I still don't know though.

Any pics of that blue car from the side? I don't know if I like it or not. I think it would look unfinished though.

I agree..it just looks kinda unfinished and almost confusing. You start to see ground effects and then they're gone... I dunno.

Well, I have decided to just use the factory rubber airdam and paint it so that the airdam is visible so that the front end would appear to look a little lower. Since the airdam tucks under the body - it will look more natural.

Lowering my car 2" is now mandatory for me because I still would like to decrease the ground clearance on the nose
