Buying "New"Car soon. Cant decide... Bird or Maro??
Alright fellas. The time has come for me to Sell my 92 RS. I am looking to buy a 89 Iroc, 91-92 Z28 OR a 89 Formula, 91-92 Bird... ( i dont know if after 89 The Firebird was still formula or Trans AM or what.) So it comes down to this, and you all want to hear it. SHOW ME YOUR BEST PICS OF YOUR CARS. Ones that would possibly sway my decision between a Chevy or a Pontiac.
Let er rip.
Thanks fellas
Mitch

well the decision is all on your part. Test drive the cars and decide after that. Which do you like the looks of better? Do you like the high-rise spoiler on the Z? or do you like the wrap around spoiler on the Formula?
It's all personal preference...I would tell you to get the Firebird, because i own one. Others would tell you to get the Z, becasue they own one.
Look at the mileage. Which car is going to give you the most life with the least amount of problems? probably the one with the lowest mileage. Look at the exterior. Which one will give you good looks for a good amount of time? Will you have to paint it?
Did you like the looks of your RS? did you like the interior style of it? I can show you a pic of my car...and you will say SWEET. and then someone with a Z will show you a pic of their car and you will say SWEET. You will be back and forth...unless you like one more than the other...which you will have to decide.
so what i am saying in this ramblin lecture is....we wont be able to help you in the determination of your choosing of a new 3rd gen. Look for pros and cons of each car, then go from there.
Anyway, here is a few pics of my car.

Seriously, just get whatever you can find thats in the best shape and has all the "good stuff" from the factory. Thats the best advice I can give anyone. Hell back when I was looking in '00, I was looking at everything from Monte Carlo SSs, Mustangs, a GSX Eclipse, and some F-bodies. The Camaro was by far in the nicest shape out of anything else I'd ever looked at for the price. Hell, that was 2 years ago, its way better off now than it was back then.

Im kinda in the same boat. I think once I get mine all finished ill prolly put her up for sale and look for something else. I tell ya though man, if you can find like a 91-92 formula 350 with low miles....snag it! cause these cars especially in the newest years for thirdgens are getting really hard to find. What im going to be looking at when i do make up my mind what im going to do.....i would really like to find a black 92 formula 350 with low miles on it so i can really fix it up to be mint....and i can get my ronal wheels for it. I dont know i just think they look a little better on the 91-92 body style vs a 87-90. Or if you can find a newer style iroc with low miles that would be the way to go too. The point is in the newer years 91-92 they didnt make anywhere near as much formulas....so its really hard to find one and if you do...hang on to it.

Get a 'bird! Everybody and their brother has a Camaro.
Heh seriously, I'm sure you'll be happy with either choice.
