I Dont dont understand why the lady at the store wouldnt be able to use a photo of the badge, What the differance between giving her a photograph and giving her a computer drawing somebdy did, The guy I have make my graphics, I could give him anything and he would scan it in his computer, draw it all out and than the machince would cut it into the vynial.

Are you having the graphic cut out, or printed out on white vynial.
If she is just taking the image and printing it out on white vynial (using no graphic design skills) I could see her problem. And if that is what she is doing, Dont do it. Have a sticker "printed" out as appose to "cutting" it out, the cut will be alot better. If it is printed the ink will fade in the sun.

just my thoughts.

my 2 cents worth.....
you might try any automotive shops that cut their own vinyl stripes. Perferably on that has been around awhile. Here in our town we have Auto Trim Design, and in 92 they had reproduced alot of the vinyl stripes to make those kits. Places like that usually have those designs in their computer, and could print it so they could scan it. Good Luck

A scan and a photograph are not the same. With a scan, you can go ahead and outline (trace) the scan. With a pic, even if it looks good, it's almost always not quite straight, and it would look wierd once it was cut. My shop charges at least $25 for messing with artwork.

Let me see if I can't do it for you....check back in an hour or so.

How does this look?

The font is not quite perfect, but it's the closest I had without having to modify each letter, which at the moment, I don't have time for.

Lemme know if you like it, I'll send you the AI file.
