Installing New Tach

He i a little confused on the instructions i don't have a wireing guide to my car so how do i wire the new gauge i know green would go to the distributor but whre the red is hot, the white is gauge lights, the black is ground where did everyone wire there Tach to? its a Autometer 5" tach with shift light by the way. i want to mount it under the dash vents whats the easy way to wire it from there.

i dont have one but have installed some in other cars..

the hot wire i usually use a fuse tap and locate 12 volt source only when the car is on..

the to make it light up when the parking lights are on find the 12 volt wire from the parking light switch and splice into that.

a good ground would be somewhere on the body, i would run the ground with the distributor wire into the engine bay and find a good ground, maybe around the strut tower area...

ok when running the distributor wire do i run it strate to the Distributor or to the computor and which wire is it on the distibutor?
