I know a few people in that large f-body burnout. The Formula with the Silver triangle on his Ram air hood is a good friend of mine.

Here is a vid of us doing some burnouts and stuff,

you'd have to have some MAJOR torque to do a decent burnout if you had all wheel drive. Actualy, you'd probably end up doing a doughnut

man, i did a nice one at the grocery store parking lot where i work at. I could still take a pic of the indent it made into the asphalt....i think i was supposed to be pushing carts...anyways it was when I had my 89 with the 2.8 engine......people were asking if the car was on fire and so forth and right when people left the store i just saw the most disquested faces on their look from the smell of burnt rubber...good times

Since I've got rear disc brakes in the back in my IROC-Z, would it kill the rear discs to do a fatty burn out? Sorry if this is a stupid queston. -89IRO

get a cheap or expensive line lock and dont worry about the rear brakes and dont hold the line lock on for more then 60seconds.

It locks your front brakes only, taking the strain off your rear brakes, drivetrain, etc.

Summit carries a couple of different brands of line lock. In the catologe TEI, Hurst, and summit make kits for it. Heres a link to Summit

It's a '91 Z28, 305, auto, mostly stock (pulleys, high flow cat, flowmaster catback, k&n's, KYB AGX adjustable shocks/struts, Eibach pro-kit springs, polygraphite front end rebuild kit, 180 degree t-stat, hypertech cool-fan switch, Hotchkis STB) I'm a college student so mods are kept small, at least for another year anyways. The one time I've taken it to the track was a best of 14.95 in the 1/4.

Dyno Results:
197.6 RWHP
283.4 RWTQ

Not much for now, but hopefully it will get there.

Stock 2.73's if I'm not mistaken

I'd like to go LT1 with a T-56 soon. One of my fellow club members swapped both into his 91 RS and runs 13.0 in the 1/4 with a custom tune and SLP 1 3/4 headers. He also swapped a 4th gen rear with 3.42's, as well as the computer. It's a very impressive car. Hopefully mine will be running with it eventually.

Honestly I couldn't tell a difference. You won't feel the little 10hp ups here and there with the small stuff unless you do a lot of them at once. Every little bit helps and they were easy to install, so I figured what the heck. I went with the March Underdrive Power and Amp Series Pulleys--they are supposed to be more lenient on your alternator than the other performance series March makes. I have heard stories of people having charging problems with the others. I got the 2 piece set (one alternator pulley, one crank pulley) and I got them in black steel to help keep them looking stock. I was afraid to go with the polished billet alluminum ones because I feared they'd be hard to keep clean and may get scratched up easily, plus they would have been a lot more expensive.
