sorry about your car man. that has been happening a lot around here. a couple weeks ago my neighbor had his big *** service truck broken into (he works for CAT) and last i heard he was up to 12 grand worth in snap-on and mac tools stolen. my step-mom (44 yrs old) has a 99 eclipse 10th ann edition riced out and that damn ***** gets parked in the garage ALL the time, it pisses me off! she's scared it'll get stolen but what does she expect driving a bright red eclipse in an area that loves to steal imports?!?!? im planning on dumping about a grand into my car this spring/summer and if it get stolen im going postal. but one of the first things im doing is new alarm and onstar. so with a little luck hopefully it wont happen. oh btw the cops here are worthless, i saw the car as it was driving away from my neighbor's truck and have called the cop that took the report a bunch of times and he never called me back.

about the razorblade thing, its true you can get sued if you do that. my grandma was getting a bunch of yard equipment taken by some dude that was jumping her fence and going into her back yard and so she had me line the inside bottom of the fence with razorwire that way when he jumped down he'd get a nice little suprise. but my uncle (who is a lawyer) told her that she could get in serious trouble for that so i had deal with that f-ing wire again packing it up. just food for thought, i think your better off keeping a 150lb pit bull in your car

hehe the razor wire thing depends on the individuals location....if your town has ordinances that prohibit that type of security fencing in residential areas or residential zoned property, you coudl absolutely get in trouble for it. However, in most places the only limitation on fencing is how high you are allowed to go...in most places 8 feet is the limit, some its 6. If you have commercial or industrial zoned property, use razor ribbon to your hearts content. its usually prudent to put up a sign that warns that its there in a conspicuous place though. If someone is trespassing on your property, and they get hurt on your fence in most cases they have no cause of action, unless the fence doesnt meet code, or is in some state of disrepair.

its amazing, if you think about it.
you aren't allowed to rig up your belongings in an unsafe manner, even though they are your belongings.

but somebody can actually be in the wrong place, commiting a crime, and you are wrong for having your stuff be unsafe.

if I break into your house, and fall down the steps, I can sue, and win.
nevermind that I wasn't even supposed to be there.

An Army buddy of my dad's back in the Vietnam era kept having his truck broken into (he lived off post), and his toolbox stolen. Happened about three times. Getting tired of replacing tools, he put two fragmentation grenades in the new toolbox, with "0" fuses...that toolbox was stolen, but none after that!

The cops around where I live are a joke. The one police station is huge and the cops never have any real crimes to solve so all the do is harrass young people and give out traffic tickets to fund their oversized police department. Back when I was in highschool someone picked a fight with a friend of mine after school at the 7-11 and 9 cop cars showed up within 2 minutes! That was probably the highlight of some of their careers!

Just last week, I was driving home from my G/F's house and my highbeams were stuck on, I couldn't get the mothers to turn off. So I pulled into the Vocational School parking lot to try and fix them. I didn't want to be a danger to other drivers...... Well just my luck there are two lazy *** cops sitting in their crusiers shooting the ****. I get out my car to make sure the high beams were actually on and the *ssh*le turns on his spot light and starts shining at me! I was already parked 20 feet from him and his headlights were on. Like he couldn't see me good enough already. Guess he just thought he was a tough guy

Cops around me are d!cks and abuse their power.

Granted all cops aren't bad, I've ran to a few nice guys, and I know some personally. But as for the ones around me it seems like most of young guys on the force think they are above everyone else just their cop.

Just my 2 cents.

Oh....sorry to hear about your car dude.
