i did this with 600wet and 1500 wet and before those i used a polishing disk thing on a air tool to get off the old paint and whatnot. then i polished with mothers alumin polish. did that in about 2 hours becuz i kept on being inturupted and if u look at that dirty ugly brown color just to the top of the plentum thats what it looked like before this.

ok, well i went to that eastwood companys web site.. and all i could find was that tripoli and emery stuff in a tube... which is great and all if i had a flat spot, but since im also doing my bikes frame/forks which has alot of round spots.. i dont see how that is going to work.. so i guess ill stick to my good old 9 different kinds of sand paper.

utp 400 then compunds.
That rim is ok, but it will be redone since i learned alot ffrom it. You need to thouroughly get rid of the machine ridges with the 100 then you really need to dig in with the 320 and do alot of 400. the areas i did more 400 in seems to loook a bijillion times better and my next rimm will turn out 3-4 times shinier then the one i posted. that was my first attrempt.

ok..
well what i did is just sand liek crazy with the 180 grit and got out all the little pits, then with teh 220 and 320 i jsut sanded till all the scratched were out.. then wet sandign was easy. but for some reason when i was doing my forks on my bike, they came out damn near perfect, and im only at 1000 grit.. where as the frame is at 1500 grit.. but seems alot more cloudy.
