I'm going to purchase a new ss style hood but before I purchase it, does anyone know what type of clearance there is under the hood and can I get an air cleaner on the carb. I have a victor jr. with a 750 demon on currently. I stretched a string across the top of the fenders and measured down and I have 1 1/4" to the top of the carb flange. Does anyone see any problem with getting an air cleaner on with this hood? Thanks in advance.

 

not at all you will have about three -four more inches from the aircleaner to the bottom of the hood.

 

where are you getting your hood and for how much? im planning on gettin myself one of those here this summer

Thanks chefdan 1 for the reply back, by what you have said I might even have enough height for a carb spacer. Thanks for the quick reply.

Also silver sub 122, I plan on getting it from Hawks 3rd gen. $449 + shipping.
