Assuming you want to paint the whole car either chrome or gold.... You can always go with a gold metallic or a nice silver. I think the only way to get that finish of something like a chrome bumper or gold ring, assuming that's the finish you want, is to strip the car down to metal, polish the metal and paint on a tinted clear coat. Or have the whole body chrome dipped with or without a tint. Even then it's going to look like crap. The only car body I'd polish would be an aluminum one and the metal has to be absolutly dent free.
