I ordered my ASCD SS hood 2/26/03 and was told it was in stock and I would have it the next week. At the end of the that week, they told me it was now on backorder and would ship out no leter than Friday of the next week (3/14/03).

Its now been 4 weeks and I have not receoved it. I called them today and found out they STILL have not shipped my hood and that it would be the middle of next week until it will ship out! The guy told me to call back in the morning and he would talk to the guy in shipping.

If they told me it would be 4 weeks or 6 weeks until I receive it, then that would have been one thing. However, I was told I would receive it in days. Everytime I call, they tell me it will ship out next week. Its now been 4 weeks and it has YET to ship!!!

Since they originally told me I was going to receive it during the first week in March, I sold my hood that weekend. Now the car is in the body shop and will pretty soon be sitting there witing on the hood.

I'm sorry about ranting and raving. I was wondering what kind of experiences you guys have had with ASCD. ~Thanks!

 

i had a similar experience although it wasnt ascd's fault..it was fedex's..

they shipped it as soon as they got the payment but fedex messed up and took the info off the package and it sat at the border (customs) for like a month...

but rex and fed ex both bent over backwards for me and i really appreciated it..

it fits perfect and looks amazing...

just talk to rex and he'll do what he can to help ya

Ordered mine from hawks...never had any problems at all.....came right on time

 

I got a simalar run around from them when I got mine, except I'm only about an hour and 1/2 away from them,close enough to them to pick it up, and every time they would give me a date for when it would be ready,( backorder ) I would call to be sure it was ready and would have to wait a few more days, when I sent someone to get it he had to wait for them to finish,, An hour or two. They said they would give him one that was sitting there with some scratches and scrapes in it if he didn't want to wait, FOR THE SAME PRICE. I told him He// NO! wait.
Other than that I've been very happy with it.
