here we go again!

i did my white face about 3 months ago on kodak photo paper now ever edge on it is peeling and gettin cracks all over it. does anyone no what paper to u that is strong WONT PEEL, and glosssy?? also i have a plan this time and was wondering if any did this yet, i am gunna cut out all the numbers and lines and make it so only they light up, but what should i do about the needle?

oh come on people there is like 30 people on here that has white face gauges, i just want to no what type paper your useing and if it not peeling?

I used Kodak Glossy Inkjet Paper. On the back it says "CAT 119 4646" so I think thats like a part number or somethin. I haven't had any problems with peeling and they've been on about a year. The only problem I've had is that I used crappy glue and some of the gauges came off. I'm redoing them this year with better glue.

i am gunna look into what kodak paper i am useing. dont use glue next time use really thin 2 way tape that people use for weather strippin there house, its very strong stuff and really thin.

i have the same problem, they are all peeling and bubbling up. eventually i'm gonna make a custom gauge cluster with autometer ultralites. gotta get the car running first though

I'd adhere it with rubber cement, myself, and make sure that you do the dry/dry method..a coat on the paper, let it dry, a coat on the gauges, let IT dry..then adhere the two. The bond is SUPER strong, so line it up correct the first time!
