ya i got the idea from you for the black color, but yours seems to be more shiny while mine is like the old school mopar flat black, i almost went with the fake camelion color but didnt have the cash, i used 9 cans of primer to get it like this. i love it.

Mine only required 2 cans. You can see the maroon in some spots.
But it looks great from a distance.

that back picture is a bit dark and really needs a slight exponential brightness correction, but i don't want to clog up the thread with it. anyway, here's the front

Sweet! You don't have a ****** do you? Just kidding. I just got done rattlecanning my rubber spoiler. I took a lot of time doing it right and it looks brand new. Nice and shiny. Try a few coats of clearcoat and sand it with some 2000 grit paper. Matt

my procedure for the red:
-sand 150 then 220/320 grit.
-coat of grey krylon primer (was black, if it was red before, just a light coat would've done fine)
-5-6 coats of red krylon (actually an exact match for GM398 bright red)
-top coat of duplicolor GM398
-3-4 clear coats, either duplicolor or krylon (i haven't always had good luck with duplicolor clearcoat giving a smooth finish)

the GFX were similar, but since they were metallic and near the bottom of the car, there was no krylon base coat, just 3-4 coats of gold met, then a light mist coat from 18-24" to get the metallic effect even for all parts, then 5-6 krylon clearcoats, since there's lots of dirt and things to chip the lower panels. (that still wasn't enough to fend off the nick i put in the rear GFX with a shovel one day in the snow, right below the decal)

total cost was about $60 for both bumpers and a car worth of GFX, but i did it indoors, so there was $15 worth of 2mil drop cloths needed to keep my apartment's carpet the right color)

ya well i am growing a ****** actualy, for a joke for my next car club meet at the end of april. just to get some laughs then shave it off again.

i had to use 9 cans because other wise the blue showed through or it just looked like crap, but i loke how it looks now.

I did my boot lid last week with rattle cans, with a bit of time and paitence, the finish matches the rest of the car, for both colour and shine.

Coming next week: heratige stripes, in gun metal metalic (dark grey)..........

Don't worry, there will be piccies!
