The cracking window sweep problem. Can I modify some of a newer car??

Just wondering, since you can't find any decent window sweeps at the junk yard on third gens, can I get some off a 4th gen camaro or any other car and mod them to fit. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard. Anyone tried it???? Thanks in advance.

Engine: 5.0 TPI

Transmission: 700R4

You can get new ones at the dealer. I replaced mine last summer, cost around $35 each side.
