Yeah, I could, and get every schmuck that thinks the triple chrome 23" FWD rim that he saw in The Fast And The Furious would look "Bling Bling" on his 'maro or 'bird.
What I want to see is "real world" applications that work.
Needless to say, wheels and tires represent a major cash outlay for many of us.
The whole reason for these boards is to share knowledge and experience from those wisened ones that have gone before us.
Let's use this post as avenue for wheel/tire combos that really work.
The rest of you please remain silent.

See...this is exactly what I'm talking about.
No blah blah blah about future plans or other mods, just cut to the chase, great car, cool wheels, specs not supplied, but still a great post.
In other words, the picture you send is worth a thousand words, so shut up.

ROH ZS's. They run some pretty weird Offsets, but they fit perfect. Soon to be replaced with 18" Boyd Coddingtons.

Front:
17x8.5 w/ 255/45/zr17 Tires
-7 mm Offset
4.5" Backspacing

Rear
17x9.5 w/ 275/40/zr17 Tires
5 mm Offset
5.472" Backspacing

To add on to what the other guys said, there are already alot of info and pictures about wheels on this forum. If you take YOUR time to do some searches YOU will find all the info you could ever think of. Comming on here demanding to see stuff with an attitude probably wont get you many results. Don't take it personally, just an observation.

i see you're pretty new to the board, nice attitude there are about 745 posts already on this board that have the title "post pics of your aftermarket rims," so all you have to do is take 3 seconds, click the search button, and look. as for your comment about the triple chrome plated fwd 23" fast and the furious rims, i beg you to find anyone looking for anything half as "bling bling" that all the schmucks as you call them are looking for.

at least i'm not the only one who sees a problem with posting pictures of rims that haven't been posted millions of times over. no offense to the guys who are posting their cars, love all of em but we all know that these pictures have been posted before, now its up to the person to use the search feature to just uncover them

ROH ZS's are one of the nicest sets of wheels you can get for a 3rd gen, IMHO. VERY nice cars, guys

Honestly, I've seen these pictures before. MANY TIMES.

Dude, hold the attitude and like said before. Do YOUR homework. Just perform a search and bingo, you'll have all the pictures you can handle.

Usually I give a when people say "do a search" when a question is asked, but man, this one is glaringly obvious. I dunno maybe it's just you attitude.

My sincere apologies to all who were offended my my "attitude",
just my bent sense of humor.
IMHO we do need a wheel & tire only board.

i don't see why.

take your pick....roh snypers, TTII's, firehawk, 00' vette, or polished stockers are the norm. no sense in having a board dedicated to them!

Although all the wheels you listed are great choices, there seems to not be very much variety out there.
I've seen posts about BMW wheels possibly fitting etc.
Seeing as a wheel change is such an expensive investment it would be helpful to take as much guesswork out of the wheel fitment equation.
Many owners, like myself will be making their purchase either online or by mail order, if the fitment isn't spot on, returning or exchanging the wheels can be a real pita, not to mention shipping costs.
BTW Kandied, outstanding looking car.

that's the thing your not taking into account.

often times the wheels that aren't seen as much are a little harder to fit and do cost more so in turn you won't see alot of posts about them. much like the 00' vette style. even a year ago you would hardly see them as their offsets were larger and they weren't carried by many companies. after they became more popular you can find them in "workable" offsets and the price has dropped as well.

the only advice i can give to you is to envision your own style and try to find a rim to fit your needs rather than looking for what looks best because in the end you'll just end up seeing more common things. i know it was a major pita to fit my z06 wheels and i'm still working on getting them just right.

as far as fitment issues you have to know what you want before people can advise. personally i wouldn't go with anything larger than an 18 and for size i wouldn't go larger then 9.5 in the front and 10.5 in the rear unless you want to have to work the body some.

worry about your backspacing and keep in mind the offset and realize that with any wheel if you go with a ##+ offset you will need adapters and naturally the higher offset the thicker your adapter will be.

if you want it to be a direct bolt on like stock then your on your own as there aren't alot of options available and in most cases the rims that really look nice are custom cut.

Well for me I went with 17in Niche Serpants FWD rims...sadly no clue on the offset.

I had the place I bought them from (www.salesco.com ) set up the spacers for me...took out the guess work.

Well if you ask me there are ALOT of wheels that will fit our cars, its just that most of the members here dont know where to look. Most people will go with OE style wheel or reproduction style from other GM cars. I find that somewhat bland. Kind of takes the fun out of having aftermarket wheels when you see the same wheels everywhere on different cars. Very few will go for a true aftermarket wheel, which looks totally different from anything GM ever produced. There are ALOT of wheel manufacturers that make Billet wheels for Chevy cars and trucks. The problem is that they don't market their wheels in the magazines we read. They market their wheels in mags that rodders or show car/truck builders read. People here seem to automatically think billet wheels will look like crap, but there are literally hundreds of styles between all the manufacturers out there. Boyd, Colorado Custom, HRE, the list goes on and on. Most will go polished, billet, and chrome too. You just have to take the time to call each manufacturer individually and see if they will make fitments for the styles you like. Spacers will widen your choices too, but I believe in a bolt on fit so thats what I buy. My advice is to go buy a Truck'n mag or Sport Truck mag of some sort and find all the billet wheel manufacturers contact info there. I talked with the owner of Boyd Coddington before making my purchase there. They make billet wheels for custom street rods and show trucks. However I felt that some of their styles would match my car, so I made my choice and had them made to fit my car. It wasn't as expensive as you'd think either (around $1600 shipped w/o tires). There are also alot of manufacturers that make race wheels for our cars too, its just that again, they dont market their wheels in the mags we read. SSR, BBS, OZ Racing, they all make wheels for 3rd gens. Its just that a true 3 piece lightweight race wheel is very expensive. The average 3rd gen Camaro owner would never buy these things because they are so expensive. So if you want to be different from the norm, you have to contact those companies individually.

Basically to find something new and different from the stuff commonly used here, you have to do alot of phone/internet research on your personal time.

That is one of the reasons I went from the GM WS6 wheels to my OZ Racing Monte Carlos. I have yet to see a 3rd gen with these wheels on it.

Hey man, check on corvetteforum.com . C5 owners are always looking to get rid of their stock rims pretty cheap.

For the spacers, talk to www.skulte.com , a guy named andris skulte will set you up with the right spacers you need. Also, yes on my IROC, the wheels rubbed something fierce. I had them pounded out a little to accomodate for the wheel.

9.5's fit fine, but they are close.. no doubt! I got mine from tbyrne motorsports but I don't remember the name on the box of the actual manufacturer, began with a D. I got a 2.25 spacer from Skulte (I though it was going to be to big but it's not) and I bought a 5/16 spacer for the rear just to even the outer edges (4th gen rears have longer studs).
