actualy, the two cars were closer linked than you'd think, the late 70's mustang 2 had a 2.8 V6 option, yup, it was the same V6 as the capri, it was just fitted with a carb, and made 120 BHP in American spec.

Later mustangs (82 onwards) went to an inline six, then a totaly different V6, although fox bodied mustangs had the pinto (in 2.3 turbo and non turbo, i think, form) for quite a while before going all funny, with twin spark heads somewhere around the late 80's early 90's

Gents,

given that the Pontiac Owners Club generally have a separate section with banners and bunting, at the main events, I felt we also needed something simlar for F-bodies, i.e. Camaros and Firebirds of any generation. So for the Summer AACUK Nats. (and any other event for that matter), I think we need a banner designing. I have a contact that can get one made up, but we need a design. I have included two images below that are naturally inclined towards camaro's, but if you guys would like to give me any suggestions (pictoral or text based) for an F-Body design I would be delighted.

That's a good start Paul. I feel it should possibly be thirdgen related and not just Camaro's. Maybe once we get out regional area on thirdgen.org perhaps we could use some of their artwork-with permission of course. I feel a proper club coming on! Paul for President!

I got my thirdgen.org t-shirt and the graphics are great on it- subtle but it gets the point across, have you all seen them? Great delivery and reasonable pricing!

Boyd, greetings again, we spoke briefly via e-mail. This was during the time I spent running my site- before having a little one destroyed any free time I once had

Guys no word back yet from the powers above- I will keep you posted on the 'Limey Board' situation.

Cheers,
Felix
Hi Felix, how ya doin... Hey, I know the feeling, just that I got 3 sprogs now so not quite sure what free time means anymore

The south side of Glasgow! I drove down Saturday evening and pitched my tent for a few hours kip! I enjoyed the drive actually, despite the abundance of speed cameras.
I'm even further, living it up here in Dundee.
Yep, UK or "THE BRITS" board sounds good to me.

right maybe a sad admission here... if anyone watches Mutant X one of the characters has a pretty nifty Camaro T-shirt where the last bit of the 'M' drops down to form the 'V' for 'V8'... would look really good both as a T-shirt and a banner...

Under some subtle pressure from AACUK boys to make it an "F-body" banner. I'll try some more later in the week.

Nobody yet noticed some strange similarities on that red RS clipart to mine

I think everyone and their dog has spotted the similarity Paul

Although, on second thoughts, the clip art one looks in better condition!

Andy.

PS STILL waiting for my release bearing.

I thought the yanks had given up on building new sports cars and were only building trucks. Then I saw a pic of the new Mustang, nice..

Nice looking car! I got to sit in a C5 the other weekend, absolutely awesome. Heads up display, the lot. Wouldn't swap it for my Camaro tho'....? Budget yank motoring, that's what I like. Need to find an earlier carb model without the ECM cr@p, I just want :

engine (pref. BB! but a 383 stroker will do I suppose)
carb (huge)
intake (polished and ported)
Electric to starter motor
Fuel
Starter button

I thank you.

not bad... but still prefer the 'Vette or the new Caddy XLR - not to mention the Shelby mk2, Chysler Crossfire or the Viper... maybe the bean counters at GM might resurect the F-body yet!!!

That is a stunning paint job isn't it? I believe Andy fanshawe is dreaming up something similar. He just has to save up his sick pay for it.

I got my complete re-spray for the princely sum of 170 english pounds , as a small cash contribution of course.
