is it worth paying them???

well paying thos shops to puff up your car to get what ever small scratch and swirl mark its gunna cost me like 140$.
but i can get the buffing machine and all that to do it my self, but i hear if u dont do it right u can burn your paint dont want that! any pointers or thoughts?? also a quick question, i have some rock chips on my noes how can i get rid of those??

Well the rock chips can probably be taken care of with touch up paint. Check the tech article on the page. I used the tech article for touching up paint here to go from this:

I hate rock chips, even if you match the paint it never looks the same because when you look at it in just the right lite it is noticable. That **** drives me crazy!

You can try buffing it out just make sure you are always moving the buffer and not pushing excessivley hard in one spot to long. It takes time to really master stuff like that so my opinion my not hold to much weight!
