speedo swap???

speedo swap???

k i got a 84 firebird and there is no why i am ever gunna find REV GAUGES for is so could i just take the whole cluster from a new trans am and put it in??? what am i gunna have to do to make the new cluster work and read right???? here is the pic of the rev gauges i want to put in.

Yes and no.

Yes, the cluster will physically bolt in.

But it won't wire right up. That style cluster is an electronic speedo, so you would have to also swap to the electronic speedo sender in the transmission. You would also have to rewire the dash, since the pins on the connectors on the 2 different clusters do different things. Sooner or later I'm gonna do this swap, but im dreading it :P
