never painted a car... need help

I plan on painting my car when I get my RA hood. I was wondering if you can paint a car outside without having to worry about dust etc. Do you guys take the GFX and spoiler off? Also the reason for painting is because my car got keyed and when the body shop repainted it you can still see the key marks. Do I have to sand these marks down to the base? What grit should I sand the rest of the car and does it need to be primed? I have a pearl 3stage paint job now but plan on changing the color to a candy apple red and ghost flames. Any suggestions... I have only pained engine bays and rear ends in the past.

i thought about this until i realized that dust isn't one of your worries..... just think of all the stuff from the trees and stuff that just floats around in the air... find an indoor place for your sake.... and don't have to GFX off.. but remember that when you do that them off, its going to be a differnet color ther

you have never painted before and you plan on redoing a whole car right off the bat?! You need to start small and work you way up....but whatever you want todo

Use 180 then 320 the featheredge and blend all the of the markings in the paint. take off the groundeffects and spoiler, it is not that hard, takes all of 10 min.

When you say I have never painted before are you concerned about the spraying itself? Yes I have never done a car but I have done engin bays... but your right you can get away with flaws in the engine bay. I have a friend who does work in a body shop who could possible spray the car. There is not much body work necessary basically just riding of the key marks which are not many. I have a question about ghost flames though.

What method is the best to do gohost flames. Do I do a base coat then put the stencil on or do i do a base/clear then stencil and paint the flames? Thanks for your input.
