alright guys, i am running into a delima (sp)?? one minute i am wanting to customize my car, you know, ram air hood, the 4th gen spoiler, 17 in wheels, shave the emblems and paint it red. then on the other hand i somtimes want to keep it original. its already in good shape. just needs a new rear spoiler. its been cracked from heat. and it could use a paint job. it has a few nicks in the paint. sometimes i feel that if i customize it, then i would be disgracing a name. kinda like ripping up a vette. well not exactly, but you see what i mean. if it were you, what would you do. (i quess i should have done a poll.)

 

It's your car dude. Originatlity is something you care for or you don't. Personally I think the 4th gen spoiler should only go on 1991-1992 Birds. The RA I hood looks good on all of them. RA II Should only go on the 1991-1992 birds also. They look more like a 4th gen than the 1985-1990 cars. Just my opinion.

 

yeah i know what your talkin about. when i first got my car i said that it was going to stay original. i told my friends that i would never put a cowl hood on it because i thought they looked ugly. then the 1st thing i got was a cowl hood. next thing i know there is a 408ci small block in my engine bay. now i'm in the process of painting it. who knows whats next.

 

yeah, i know. these are my plans. (i dont know when they will get done though) 383 stroker, of course aluminum heads, cam, hsr intake. all the body mods mentioned above, slp firehawk style wheels, and i think torch red paint.

 

Id say look at all your options. Do a little research & see how rare your car is. How easy would it be to keep 100% original. Would you be happy with a original car? Personally I hate to see a nice collectable type car customized, but on the otherhand I have a customized vehicle & 2 original GTA's. The biggest thing is do what makes you happy with your car. Its your ride & an expression of you.
