Pearl White?

So I am going to paint my car and it is white now. I want to paint it pearl white. Does anyone have any good pics of a 84 or so pearl white? On a side note look at the belt buckle I just got on e-bay.

I believe Jim85Iroc has a pearl white GTA. If I'm correct with the color name, his car is truly beautiful to see in person.

thanks dan.

Yeah, mine is a pearl color. It's a 2001 or 2000 Lexus color called Crystal White. I'd post pics, but in the pics you can't tell it apart from regular white. In person, it's pretty damn nice.

Yeah pearl white looks cool but keep in mind that it ant that easy to spot in it would look good on your car but you will need to do something to break up the colors like stripes- flames just my 2 cents

Here's a couple pics, but like I said before, you really can't see the pearl. At least the pics show that it's a good bright white. Most of the white pearls have a pink or brown tint, which I don't like. I picked out the lexus color because it's the "whitest" pearl white I could find. I initially also had planned to paint some pearl white ghost flames, until a local guy who has his mustang painted like that got hit. 2 years later he's still driving around with a plain white fender, because he's got to save the money to repaint his WHOLE car. There was no way in hell he'd be able to repaint just the fender and have it match the pearl white ghost flame paint job.

Anyway... pics. You've got to copy and paste these because I can't link them directly.

That does have a nice white color without the pink/brown. That was one thing I was worried about. If ya don't mind me asking how much did that paint run you. I have a friend who is the local teacher ot our votec and he is going to paint it for cost of paint . That makes me smile

My cost was around $900 for paint materials, including clear coat, but not including prep materials like sand blast media, sand paper, etc.

Well I was looking online and found the House of Kolor. Has anyone else dealt with them and if so how is the paint? Any help would be great. Also any help on what would be the best of their stuff would be great. Thanks

It's high quality paint, but if this is more of a daily driver, I would suggest sticking with something more easily available. HOK stuff is all completely unique. With a conventional color, you can get it mixed anywhere, and down the road if you need to do touch ups or repairs, you'll be able to get more matching paint quickly and easily.

Dupont, PPG, Sherwin Williams and a bunch of others are all 99.99% the same stuff. They are all capable of producing colors from any OEM. The HOK stuff isn't like that. They have their own color set and that's it.

Thanks.

Once I get the carpet in and new tires on the front, the for-sale sign goes in the window.

I have pearl white on my car, but its sadly faded and the clear coat is nearly gone. However the rear and passenger sides seem to be much better off than the front, and driver side. You can find some nice high resolution pics in the link. just click on the sinature picture.
