Should I go with Chrome valve covers or black. Here's a pic of the black ones

Yeah it's carbed. I painted the engine blue and black to be different. I liked the color scheme

blue is going to show oil really badly, i would go with a black block, aluminum heads and fabricated aluminum valve covers.

have to agree, the chrome valve covers just don't look right....why not just polish up a stock set until you can get exactly what you want?

I got the polished cast aluminum valve covers from GMPP and they were great until I put them on the engine. The second a little drip of water gets on them, JUNK! They start pitting and unless you clean them 10 times a day or buff them like once a week, they will turn to crap. Black is a lot easier to keep clean, you don't have to worry about polishing.
