Tie them up.
Stick a rag in their a$$ and light it up.
Ask them if they like how it feels.
Walk away.

*** Damn Flynlow, if I EVER caught the person who did that I'd kick their *** so hard they wouldn't walk straight for a week. THEN I'd call the cops to come and pick them up. I thought I was pissed at the person who egged my car. Now my rear bumper needs to be repainted.
If insurance doesn't cover that then I'll be shocked. Do you have full coverage on the car? Fire, theft, and all that? Thats vandalism which SHOULD be covered as it will cost a lot to put that car back together nicely. New plastics parts, new tire (mounted and balanced), and it has to be repainted. I would insist on nothing but the best.
Whats funny is that if you catch them trying to set your car on fire and kick their butts they'd probably come back to sue you and WIN!
Sometimes i wonder about the intelligence of the average person. I can't beleive we live in a world where people can spill hot coffee in their lap, sue McDonalds and win.

Flynlow, that's horrible. You have my sympathies. I think anything that can be said about it already has been said about it, so I'll address your fuel issue. Here's what I would do in your situation:
*NOTE* Before attempting this, inspect the fuel pump wiring and the lines to make sure they weren't damaged from the vandal.
1. Raise the car
2. Disconnect the fuel filter
3. Get the fuel lines to spray in to a container that will hold the fuel you have in the tank.
4. On the ALDL, supply a 12V positive charge to the "G" terminal, this will kick the pump on constantly, and you can empty the tank, which is easier than turning the ignition on and off repeatedly
.
5. Be warned, the pump will spray high pressure fuel, so make sure you are prepared for it.
This may not be the best way to do it, maybe others know of an easier/more quick way, but that's what I would do.
If you need parts or anything, feel free to PM me, I have some here....
Good luck.
edit: I see that camaro looks pretty custom, the above instructions are for a TPI setup, which I'm not sure if that's what you have in it or not.

As you can probably tell from my tone, I am very jaded and generally expect the worst from humans not without reason. Although this infuriates me, it certainly doesn't surprise me.
What I want to say is remember the saying "Vengeance is mine sayith the Lord"? Well, I consider that one of the few truths in nature that we can trust in. Believe me when I say that whoever did this is/will suffer way more than you throughout their life. You just witnessed a very small part of their suffering and unfortunately were bit by it.
Just think, while you have what it takes to succeed and can look forward to whatever success you desire, these people only have failure to look forward too. Their own existence IS their punishment and it is much worse than anything you could do. Even if they look like very happy people it is a lie to help them cope with their deserved inner pain.
My best advice is to try not to stay upset but try to learn something positive. It's your positive attitude in the face of adversity that will affect whoever did this the most and if it wasn't random, you can be sure they will be looking for your emotional response to fulfill their desire. Don't give them the satisfaction.
This isn't to say that this person shouldn't be pursued and locked up for the safety of society as they have proven themselves quite dangerous.
Not much but it helps quench my desire for revenge...

Deliverance style!! I really dont know what i would do if i found that happend to my car... it would probably involve the numbers 3, 5, and 7 and the word MAGNUM

O yea as far as a fix goes what you need to do is remove the tank and pop off the sending unit for access and drain it, then make sure none of the rag particles of soot ect are in the filler tube, sand it with light (800 grit) sand paper if you need to. I'd suggest get some laundry detergent (I've heard it works well for cleaning tanks) and clean the tube and the tank out and just to be on the safe side I would blow some compressed air down the filler to be sure. While you have the tank off and the car in the air get under there and clean up anything on the underneath of the wheel well then use a can of undercoating (any autoparts store will have it) to protect it. Go ahead and reintall the tank. Hit a junk yard and get the wheel well lining and the plastic part for the filler, if your metal around the cover is melted or warped this would be a good time to see if you can cut one off of a wreaked car too. Assuming you can't weld and your cap area is messed up take it to a bodyshop other wise do it yourself. Lastly get a new tire and have a bodyshop (maybe the one you had paint it first time) colormatch the paint on your car and repaint the area. O yea one more thing while your at it go get the ulitmate alarm system KIT from knightrider installed in your car so he can run over the dumb punks *** if he/she/they try it again!
Even though everyones said it a billion time I gotta say man that sucks hope they get the punks.

Man - That SUCKS! I hate to think what I would do to someone if I caught them doing that to my car. It takes a truly sick individual to actually choose to do that. There are too many people in this world who respect no one and nothing.
It makes me sick to look at the pics. I hope you get it all taken care of soon, and I wouldn't feel bad at all if next time they do that to someone they set themselves on fire too.
I think that's called "karma".

Honestly your car was never one of my favorites. It just isn't my style. After seeing what happened, I have a new found respect for your Camaro. It doesn't matter what you put on your car, what color it is, what wheels it has, it is still your car, and you worked to do that yourself. There is no rightful reason for anyone to come along and try to destroy what you have worked so hard for. We build these cars to please ourselves. Not to make everyone else happy. For someone to come along and try to blow up your ride is absurd. Once these people are found, take a dull knife to their stone sack, see how they like it!

sucks about your car. some ppl should be shot...... if someone did that to my car i would BURN THEM AT THE STAKE........
is that rust towards the bottom part of the quarter panel in the second pic? if so, i'd take this opportunity to grind/sand that all off and fix it before you have it repainted. if you don't, it will keep rusting.
good luck on the car tho. hope everything comes out ok and you find the ppl who did this some night in a dark alley.....hehe

man hopefully your car will look as good as it did before the vandalism when you get it fixed. I came out from work today and someone stuck gum in all the cracks of the car like door to fender crack on the gas cap lid in the louvers on the hood not that bad but why cant people just leave peoples stuff alone?

Flynlow, as a technical community, I think I speak for everyone when I say we will come together as a family to do whatever we can to help and supply any knowledge beneficial to you. While this cuts deep, and is saddening as a profound personal attack, perspectively speaking you have your health, and the situation could have been much worse indeed. When my car was nearly stolen a short while ago, the failure to properly operate my MegaShifter was the only thing that allowed me to have my car today at all - that was frusterating, however vandalism is much more mindless and cruel. I don't know what I'm trying to say, but the situation could have been so much worse; think of it this way, they didn't win. I know the bastards that defiled my car didn't.
Good luck bro.

Quick Question.......
Is this bare metal area gonna cause the body to rust??
I can't get it painted right away and am afraid that it's gonna cause the body to rust??
What can i do to save this area?? Any things i can spray on there???
Thanks
The bare metal will definitly rust. At the least you could take a can of spray paint and go over the area and cover all the metal. It won't be pretty, but it will protect it. You are going to sand it down to metal againwhen you paint it for real, right?

Any decent brand of primer should have you covered. All the wacky "EXORUST" primers and paints are for painting over rust, so primer should work just fine since you're working with bare metal. How's progress on the ordeal? No need for details seeing as I'd find it difficult to be in the mood to share at this point if I were you

Primer is porous and won't keep it from rusting.
Cover it with some spray paint or prime and then sealer.

duplicolor makes primer that i found works very well...
if the cars running now, drive over to the auto parts store and see if they let you take a couple cans out to your car and try to find some duplicolor paint thats as close as possable to what you have now..
that way, it wont look like a total sore thumb....
anyhoo
so now that everyone from every 3rdgen forum has threatend the guys that did it, whats the deal with the car? you have it running now i assume?

To anyone still following the car is running now......
I'm spending all my money on college right now (which is a little more important), so i'm basically broke, the paint is gonna have to wait about 2 more weeks.....
I did some sanding and then some spray paint, to save the bare metal from rusting....The paint is just some rattle can stuff
No leads from the cops as of yet, not keeping the hopes up, but the insurance is gonna be updated to include the theft & vandalism

Sorry to see that....
It kinda rminds me of my sister's Mustang when she was in college. She broke up with this guy and it hurt his ego, so he brushed some sort of acid all over her car and it ate up her new paint job. Then he tried to cut her brake lines, but didn't make it all the way through them.
If you find out who did this, dont turn them in....take it out of their ***(es).

have you ever considered the possibility that whoever did this could be a TGO member? i mean it would make sense. FlynLows car was all over these boards and while most people like myself thought it was just bada$$ , maybe it pissed someone off? im not making any accusations, im just throwin the idea out there.....
btw- i think a locking gas cap would do a lot just by being there. i mean once they saw the lock, maybe they would just decide not to bother?

it was YOU that did it! by bringing the idea up you are covering yourself.....trying to make yourself look like the good guy ;-) j/p
but i doubt that anyone on here would do something like that cause no matter what the car looks like ( i loved the car, BTW.....the wing was kinda....well.....but if i was going to do something to someones car cause i didnt like the wing i'd have just ruined the wing haha) but no.....people on here seem to respect eachothers cars regardless if they like it or not
Man that sucks, I i could see how you felt went you right saw it. My car was slammed up with a baseball bat on friday from 200am till 400. Sat at 7 in the morning i noticed somethin wrong with my car there where 20 dents in the hood the stereo was taken and 3 out of the 6 windows smashed. They recovered all my equipment and the bat that was used on my car. That day was going to be my greatest day I joy for racing in the SCCA, but it never came true i dropped out the whole weekend for this. Today we found out the person who did it, Im making sure he will get put away.

ok obviously you guys live in the middle of no where cause this **** happens for gang initiations all the time. The bad thing is that they didn't blow the car cause his insurance wont pay ****. if the car did blow they have to fork it all over. Its like taking a lighter to mess up everyhting good in a car but not completely totalling it. You lucky they stopped there and didn't start taking a lighter to the engine bay and cut holes in your hood like they do around here. Thats why i have laminated windows and t-tops. Makes them 3 times stronger and a heck of a whole lot harder to break with a bat. For the security thing screw these asses that say sit behind a bush with a flash light and wait for them. what a dumbass idea. he'll never see them. if he's lucky he'll be waiting and fall asleep then they do it and all is lost. the bad thing is people can do this and never get in trouble for it. People around here wake up to headlights smashed and holes in their hoods with a sawsall and broken windows. My friend got his seats stolen his shifter his guage panels and his nos bottle and fogger system. They cut holes too but that **** didn't matter at all. you guys need to wake up to realality that things like this do happen and thats why you get something i like to call a "garage."or goto some black market d00d and set up a perimeter sencing machine gun. so if anyone comes near it it shoots their happy ***. **** getting a gun. well i'm too pissed at people not believing that things do happen to random people and their just lucky it hasn't happened to them yet! sorry for you d00d though.

but i doubt that anyone on here would do something like that cause no matter what the car looks like ( i loved the car, BTW.....the wing was kinda....well.....but if i was going to do something to someones car cause i didnt like the wing i'd have just ruined the wing haha) but no.....people on here seem to respect eachothers cars regardless if they like it or not
lol sorry but im in michigan right now. i wouldnt drive 1000miles to mess with someones car no matter how much i hated it. besides, FlynLow is one of the most respected members of these boards.
i dont think someone from TGO would do it, but hey, its just a possibility? look at all the a$$holes that have been banned for being immature. i bet some of them would not be above vandalisim.
FlynLow, i think i speak for everyone when i say we will do our best to help you out and get your car back on the road.

Yeah... cops obviously don't give a rat's *** about anything other than eating their doughnuts and sitting around in their cruisers. I live in Florida too, and that's about what I would expect from any cop around here as well.
