help

Since my previous post got deleted, I'm going to try asking this. I know it doesn't belong here, and it'll most likely get deleted, and I'll get put on "probation" or something like that, but right now...I really don't care. I'm hoping someone will see this and provide me with some info before that happens. If you can help me, please E-mail me at RyanLivingston2003@yahoo.com because by the time I get to check this again, it probably won't even be here...whatever.

Anyway, I bought a camaro from a junkyard. Problem is, I don't have any of the previous owner's info. I want to know if anyone that either lives in MA, or anyone that knows anything about if it would be possible, and if so how, to get a salvage title for the car so I could go about registering it. I do know that without the title, because it was from Rhode Island, and older than 10 years, I wouldn't need a title, just a bill of sales from the junkyard and the previous owner's registration. I don't have the registration. So the only way around this is to get a title somehow. There has to be a way to get a salvage title.

Anyway, there's my question. Seems thirdgen related to me.
(And I'm only posting it in this board cause I know it's gonna get deleted, and this is the most frequently visited board, so my chances of someone seeing it are greater)

Check with the MA Motor Vehicles and find out what you need-call them on the phone or see if they have a website. CT does. In CT you can get the VIN checked and get the status of the registration. Depending on that, you can see what you need. Some cars in junkyards are salvage only- meaning that they can not be registered. Some others are listed as rebuildable and can be registered after a special inspection (keep all receipts for major body parts and engine) That's how it works in CT, anyway. Good luck and I hope this helped.
