How can I shine my GTA wheels?

The wheels on my 88 GTA have been looking kind of dull lately. I wash them regularly and I've tried some aluminum polish, but they still look dull. Not shiny like they could be. What can I do to get them nice and shiny again? Steel wool? Any ideas are apprciated! Thanks! Matt

I'm not sure if the lip on GTA wheels is clearcoated or not, but try Eagle One Nevr-Dull. That stuff is great for polishing metal.

the gta rims are clear coated. is it just clear coat that is dull or is the clear starting to lift and the aluminum is oxidizing under it?

i stripped my clear off and polished them

I think maybe the clearcoat is coming off in a few spots and it's starting to oxidize. Then in other spots, I think maybe the clearcoat is just kind of dull. How can I fix either one? Matt

I think most people would agree with this. Strip off the clear coat, and go through the tech artical on polishing a wheel.
