Stripping paint off wheels...what does it?

I took a wirewheel and I don't like how it takes the corners off, it cleans the paint off without damaging the surface but on the edges it was chamfering it and I didn't like that so I stopped.

My friend has a portable sandblaster but he said that it would probably turn the aluminum into a cast like finish and I'd have to really hit it with low grit to slowly get the smoothness back.

What kind of chemical stripper can I get that will completely eat off the paint/clear w/o hurting my wheels. I have the 85-87 Iroc wheels. The tires will be on and I'll tape them off, what will just knock that crap off? Any ideas?

Thats what I figured...I want something that won't hurt the aluminum but will just eat away at the paint/clear. Im in the mood to do some hardcore polishing

Anyone who knows I'd be grateful for a product name!

taken from some paint stripping site:

"Aircraft Stripper is not always a "brand name." That is, there are different manufactures selling aircraft grade stripper. But all varieties seem to work well. What to look for are the words "Aircraft Stripper" plastered somewhere across the front of the container. And the first place to begin your search is at automotive supply houses such as: Pep Boys, Autozone, Napa, etc.. The aircraft grade stuff is not usually found in Home Depots or other hardware stores, but it never hurts to check. "

(LoL, i just typed in "aircraft stripper" on google and this was the first match....fits so well with your questions that it seems like i spent hours looking for the answer, but it only took 45 seconds...i DO have a life!, well...sorta)
