Polished 91-92 Rims
Well since I blew out a tire a couple weeks ago I figured this would be a good time to polish up my rims. Here's some pics of it polished before I get them painted.

looks nice, maybe get some coarser compound on there to get rid of the stratches. i found 3m perfect it III compound, swirl mark remover and aluminum polish all applied with a high speed buffer works great. put a coat of wax over the polished area, itll help preserve the shine.

Looks good, but like he said you might wanna try and get those fine scratches out. However, coarser compounds may not necissarily be the answer. It depends on how deep they are. I would wetsand with 400 again for a very long time. If they still won't come out, try 200 dry, then 400 wet for a while, and then compounds.
How long did they take?

Yeah I might go back and try to take the scratches out, but I'm not too worried about it. It's gonna be put in storage for awhile here in a couple months. I'm not sure how long it took but I know I sanded on them for quite awhile.
