rustproof question

Well I bought my 89 FF 350 about 2 weeks ago knowing it needed a paint job(dont they all?). So I have one scheduled. The car has absolutly NO door dings, bumps or anything. Just a dime sized spot surface rust on the lower passenger side of the car behind the door.(i know its probably alot bigger under the paint). The painter said he will weld it if it needs it.

But living in Michigan/Ohio(school) and having to drive it in the winter (3 miles to school and back) I want to invest in a rustproofing to preserve/repell any further car cancer!

Where have you guys gone for rustproofing? how much was it? Any info would be appreciated

best way to keep your car rustproof is to clean it in the winter... wash it as often as you can to get rid of the snow and salt and oil treat it for the winter... that plus if you can have it paint before the winter, it'll be an added bonus but there is unfortunatly no miracle way to prefent your car from rusting.. especially if you drive it in the winter... just take good care of it
