What do you thing that would look like on the 82 T/A?

I wanted to do that where I have my factory grills, or vents. I think I could put some fog lights in there, and it would look pretty sweet.

I just don't know about the chrome on a black car...

What do you think it would look like if I had the whole area with the chrome mesh.

Should I paint it black??

Well, the grills would be the only piece of chrome on the car, so I figure that it would look very cheap.

Maybe If I paint the grills black, or get some anodized color or something.

I really think chrome would look kinda shoddy.

I think I am going to photochop one...

ooh yea you might want to go with black, I assumed you had nice shiny paint. Chrome doesnt look too good with faded stuff, black would look pretty cool tho. I think I might paint mine black or body color for now.

K well I got my car back this weekend, and as promised, first thing I did. Well I washed it and waxed it sat but that doesnt count. Really easy mod, took me about an hour with remounting the lights and everything..this was kinda a pain. Anyways I used gutter guard which was like $1.25 at Home Depot. Still a little iffy on light placement tho. Also thinking of maybee painting it black or body color? Pic was in bad light with bad camera so pics didnt come out too good tho.

jcurrie- Thanks man, there actually not fog lights there little oval "racing" lights really dont put off much light but they look cool, the lenses change color too but i really doubt anyone will notice that with there current placement. (look at the pic above to see them better) I basically mounted them in the same place TPI did. Just a little back on the air duct or whatever it is (isnt it actually part of the internal bumper?) that you put the grill back up against. I dont know if fog lights would fit properly there, mine and tpi's are a little higher and it looks like spdfrk, and bad91's are low enough for fogs to put back there. Id check before I went out and bought some. I actually like your grill better.

yah ill guess ill have to take out my screens and take a look i forget whats back there its been over a year sence i looked in there. Ill prob just put my existing lights back there. And i didnt really mean fog lights,,but just lights...no fog or driving light are ganna be brighter then my spot light highbeams and h4 lows im beyond the point of getting driving lights for purpose, just for looks haha...unless i go get crazy expencive baja lights (screw that).

You should make the clear turn lights like i did then you can have any color you like!
Im running blue h4 lowbeams, blue 1157 lights in my clear turn/parks, blue 194 in the clear corners, do you think blue driving lights are too much?? haha
I wouldnt mind geting neons under it but thats more cash then i wanna spend on a glowing ground.

No no no...

That Is not my car....
Mine looks better...

I just took that picture from someone else....
I think that it might look better on my car. I guess that I should just try it out, and see how it looks. If I don't like it, I could just paint it black...

Is there any rattle can paint that would look good on the grill? Without making it look like it has that thick goopy paint.
I have seen other people paint expanded metal, and it looked shoddy.

I'd say any good automotive quality paint just put on several very thin dust coats and it should turn out pretty decent

Yes clear as in color but not clear as in you can see the bulbs. I made mine is a common mod now as a few others have done in too. heres a pic below of my lights, look at them close. Some factory lights use yellow bulbs and white/clear defusers some have yellow defusers and clear/white bulbs.

Spdfrk1990 - go to my site here and you can see how i made them.

Jcurrie, im planin on getting clear turn signals and puttin green or hyperwhite lights in em..but im broke as ****, hence the 1.25 mod! I kinda like your lights where they are, I wouldnt bother moving them back, its a pain in the A$$ to mount them too, theres not enough room for a screwdriver so I had to start the screws by had with a screw bit and then put a little socket wrench on the bit to get the screws in.
Parking lights have clear lenses with orange bulbs I think he did something different to his tho, either put a diff front lens on or broke the existing one in half and polished the front piece of plastic. Looks nice tho fill us in!
