ngafp, that looks GREAT! Looks exceptionally clean, and the stripes are slick. The white front piece with a red bowtie really makes for a sharp package. I've seen few cars pull off having that piece anything but black.

thanks tpiroc, besides tinting the windows, polishing the wheels and changing the exhaust, everything is exactly as it came from the factory. only about 64000 on the odometer.

hey tpiroc, tell me about your suspension. did you change springs or rely on the new wheels to "fill up" the gap from the body to the wheel . i was looking at the stance from your pics. i think you hit it perfect. not many people have that perfect look. what size are your wheels. any info will be great.

ngafp, I used an Intrax 2" drop kit, that's all I did as far as suspension goes. Pictured below is a pic with the old wheels/tires. Here are the specs on the new rim setup; The rims are 18 x 9.5" with a 56mm positive offset wrapped in 275zr25-18 tires (10.7 wide). 2" adapters were used to get the rims to fit properly. The height of the new tires are the same as the old ones, so they tuck in the wheel wells no differently (diametrically speaking, not width). They do however stick out a bit more than then the other rims, but not by much, really. I'm really happy with the Intrax, however wouldn't mind about another half inch down, but I'm not going to tangle with it, I have good clearance right now. Hope that's helpful, that's just the info I have, it really just seemed to work out well.

TPIROC, You definately get my vote for best of show- You nailed it. Doesn't even look like the same car in the before and after pics.
(Please take my opinion to heart- I happen to be 1 of 3 judges for a major carshow each year here in So Cal.
)
Edit: What I like best is that you car has taken on the look of a lightweight "Trans Am Series" race car - Has the appearance of a tubular frame and fiberglass body- must be the color combined with the choice of opened up rims.
Here's a shot of the wifes '87

actually they are vinyl overlays. I have them precut if you would like, only 5 bucks. i have red and black and white i think. the white matched my car perfectly since it was already painted bright white over the arctic white. check my site..... pics of the camaros front end are there in daylight with more pics. just email me if you are interested in them.
btw. those are the only thing still the same on the car after 5 years.
