Firebird & Trans Am

I was wondering if the tire size is different on a FireBird then a Trans Am?

I have a T/A and my tire size is 245/50r/16's and my friend gave me a wheel his uncle said he took off a Trans Am or a FireBird... They are the same old rims but the tire size is 205/55r/16... I thought I was gonna be able to use this for a spare until I saw the size. It has the WS6 cap in it. I am kind of baffled... Any help?

If they are off of a FireBird I was gonna give em to my friend who has an 89 Formula and his tires look smaller then mine and he also has the same rims.

(Lucky me I also got a new set of t-tops from my friends uncle for free.. )

Well they are both 16" rims. Maybe someone decided they'd rather have 205 55s instead of the stock size when they replaced the tires? Unless it's the original tire on the rim, which I doubt since the newest Third Gen (92) is 11 years old.

No reason you can't use it as a spare. I mean hell, it's just a spare. :lala:
