Taillight Blackouts for 86 Trans Am?

I have looked all over for them and havent seen them anywhere. I have seen a few pics but no luck. Will the blackouts for the 91-92 Trans Am work on my 86? Or does anybody know where i can get some? Thanks

I think the non t/a ones work on t/a's, they just don't want you using them because the t/a taillights are already darker than normal.
Don't take that as fact though.

I know they make (or at least made........) taillight black-out kits for '85-'92 thirdgen firebirds with the regular 6-bulb taillights. I remember looking for the same thing back in the day and seeing them in catalogs when I had my first car, an '87 Firebird Formula. Speaking in terms of external dimesions, those taillights and your TA taillights are the same. Presumably the aformentioned black-outs would work. Check ebay, they probably pop up from time to time. Again, as stated above, the grid TA taillights have that "smoked out" feature from the factory and look a lot nicer anyway............

There is always the Knight Rider type blackout. It's a one piece deal....it's supposed to fit the 82-84 style, but if you take the 'bubble' off the 85-92 T/A's it should fit with no problem.
A website for the blackout is: http://www.adiautotech.com/extone.htm#
