Polishing and cleaning aluminum??
Polishing and cleaning aluminum??
Hey guys,
I snagged a complete CFI setup (with computer and harness) from a 1983 Corvette. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it for when I get an 82 TransAm and drop a 350 in there, or if I'm going to sell it.
Either way, the intake pieces are very dirty. The intake, and the lid are a little oxidized. How can I clean it up, and what can I put on it to prevent the oxidization from comming back?
Do I need to take it to a machine shop to have it tanked?
Thanks!

Honestly,if I were you I wouldn't put any time or $ into it.Try to sell it and hope you get what you paid for it.There is a reason it was only used for a year or two.
Having it tanked would be the best though,to get rid of the grease/buildup.
