bimmer wheels on maro
hi,
check this:

sorry, but I'm too lazy to translate.
short: friend of mine, changed to winter tires, I took the chance and tried that!
in back it fits even with an offset of 40!!! very close, but it fits! the front center ring was too fat for the rim, so that didn't fit.
2 choices: widen the hole from the wheel or making the center cap tighter....
I like the look for some reason, even if it is only 225.
I just wanted to look, how it looks with that size. In my opinion 18s would be optimal...

should still prolly get some kinda adapter for the rear...the 40 mm makes it sit in way to far....IMO it doesnt look nearly as good as it could but awesome idea nonetheless....
.....least we have more info now on the bmw rim swap

Hehe a german fbody site, how cool. I remember someone posting about this awhile back and I think they said that most bmw wheels aside from the 7 series and x5 would bolt on (spacing consideration aside) easily. I could of course be totally wrong... Looks pretty neat, I wouldnt put em on my car tho.
