does it take off paint. i also heard that its almost like dot fluid meaning it helps grip

That sounds like to me. It contains a small amount of acid but I don't think it would take off paint...

if its left on there long enough it'll start messing up the paint for sure, its just like acid rain

so it wont take off the paint if left on for like 30 min 1hr.
