Can I grind it for wider tire ??

Hi,

I wanna put 255/45/18 on my car but there is a rub in the marked part (see pic), I am wonder if I can grind the body part to make more room, any suggestion ?? I am running 235/40/18 in my 8.5J rim and they are tooooo thin, the rim seem wider than the tire....I feel like driving the rim only!!!

255/45 18 is a larger diameter than stock. Try 255/40 18

yes, 255/45/18 is oversize but they look great in the rear so I am thinking to put them in the front too, it shape of body part for the wheel is big, beside lowering the car, maybe putting bigger tire is one way to go to look good. (IMO)
