...of course, the weather is'nt helping too much either.I decided to get some stock 15" aluminum rims and took off the IROCs due to the cost in tires.16's are EXPENSIVE!!Anyways, what I did was took some Tal Strip II to get all the clearcoat and paint off some rough looking rims. That stuff by Kleen Strip is kinda weak.I went to Advance to get some brake pads for another car and they had the Tal Strip. After I got the 2 rims I was doing stripped,I decided to spray them with Krylon sandable primer. Its kinda like the same color as the stock rims.So I then let them setup overnight and the wet sanded them with 320 grit sandpaper to get them smooth.I then applied another coat of primer and let that setup. The next day I shot them with 2 or 3 coats of clearcoat and about 4 hours between each coat. They look sweet. It has a nice clean look and all I have to do is keep up with brake dust.I'm gonna throw some Eagle white letters on them to make them stand out.It is going to look pretty good on a charcoal colored paint job.I'll try to post pics when I get a chance.Working 13 days straight then off 1 day gets you tired quick.I'll see ya'll later.
