Carbon Fiber Hood?

Anyone know of any companies selling Carbon Fiber hoods for a 1988 Trans Am?

Theres a place in japan that makes CF hoods for camaros (but they're not cheap) they may also make them for TAs (not sure). I think their web site and e-mail adress is posted here some where, do a search on this board.

whats the LOL for?

Carbon Fiber hoods are light as a feather. I figured weight reduction would help in displacement.

Yes they are, just make sure if you find a place that makes a CF hood for your TA (I don't think there's to many out there though) that they make quality parts. Do alot of feedback searchs on the internet, there's alot of places like APC that sell junk.

^ what he said. I would just go with a Fiberglass hood, still saves weight and ALOT of money compared to buying a CF hood. With the money you would save going with a fiberglass RA1or2 hood, you could add performance under the hood.

fiberglass hoods the lift off kind are light as a feather too. I'd guess 10 lbs....
