My Formula has the factory aero wing on it like the ones on the TA's. The paint is chiping off all the way down to the rubber, and I was wondering if there is any chemical I can use on it to strip off the paint without harming the rubber. Also I had an accident last summer in which the hood got screwed up pretty bad. I have a plain Firebird hood which I am going to use, but I wanted to put some sort of hood scoop on it. I have been trying to picture in my head what would look good on it but I can't seem to come up with anything. I thought about putting a cowl on it but I think the square front of the cowl would look out of place with the pointy Firebird front. I realize alot of this is personal preference, but I would appriciate some ideas and possibly some pictures if anybody has some avalible.

I'm not sure about the wing, but JCwhitney and Summit racing both have a prety good selection of hood scoops.

the right way to do the wing would be to use a chemical stripper from auto zone and get all the paint off. Then go to an auto body supply house and get the correct primer and paint color with flex additive and spray it with a spray gun. An alternative that will suffice but not look quite as good or last as long is to use spray cans. I did mine, and after enough coats, it looked OK.
As for the hood, keep an eye out in the junkyards for a formula or T/A hood (whichever you like better) and slap it on there.

Yea autozone has some rubber bumper striper that is what I would use. However look on ebay there is a fiberglass one for like 250 on there, if in any way you can afford it buy it, it will look way better than the rubber one. Or you can buy the one from the sponsor above. Thats what I did.
Hood if you are daring fiberglass isn't that hard to work. Get some fiber, resin, cardboard, saran wrap. Make the scope like you want out of card board. just smaller than what you want. Put the saran wrap on the cardboard. and then take dry peice of the fiber and cut it so it will lay good on the cardboard. Then soak the fiber and lay it on the mold off the car that is. Don't forget to mold in some bolts so you can bolt it to the car. When done glass it into the hood. Let try a few days then sand fill prime and paint.

Other wise take it from me,
get it bead blasted its pretty cheap if you can find someone locally
and it will not harm the spoiler ... it turns out really smooth ... although im not painting mine blue again i primed it with flat black paint... if you end up painting it again... use a flexible agent if your going to paint it body color... another tip would be killing anyone who dares to sit on the wing... including your ex girlfriend "hint" "hint"
