I have a 91-92 fiberglass GTA rear Spoiler Wing forsale asking $350, all it needs is paint.

 

Is this the factory plastic wing or aftermarket?

 

Its fiberglass after market, its much lighter than the polyurathane/ plastic.

 

The factory 91-92 wing is fiberglass, the urethane ones with the aluminum extrusion inside was only used from 85-90.

 

OK.. That makes sense, I bought this from another member here and never used it. For some reason I remember him saying it was aftermarket. But could be wrong.

 

I haven't checked recently, but I at least there didn't use to be an aftermarket one. There was an aftermarket '85-90 made of fiberglass to replace the factory ones that fell appart, and then there's an aftermarket 4th gen one with the pedestals extended to work on a 3rg gen hatch. The '91-92 one wasn't repopped because it basically was a decent 'glass one that was light and held together (though I have one that has the mounts cracked off on one side :/ )

 

I bought my spoiler from hawks a few years back, it's so much lighter than the original one. However you have to play with the aftermarket one for it to fit. If I didn't have new already I'd be all over this one.

 

Actually factory 91-2 wing is plastic (zenon or something), its very light, also gets brittle if baked in the sun a long time.

Here are other pictures, when I placed it on my car I did not use molding tape or even installed with hardware. It was just placed to see how it fit, I still had body work needed to do. But I had a guy pass by while I was outside made me an offer that I couldn't refuse and sold the car before I can use it.

 

That would be the factory plastic wing. (which is a good thing)

You mean clip to lock in on the edge of the glass? It has slot opening to lock it into the glass tab and screws to bolt on the trunk holes. It's just like factory

 

but did the replacement spoiler come with new tabs for you to mount? did u still have tabs on your rear hatch? or are you not using the tabs at all?

 

my hatch was orginial formula which supposed to have the spoiler. I bought it like that with missing spoiler but tab was already there. I lucked out so if you don't have tab you will need to get different hatch or custom fab one to make it work on base model hatch.
