Bee R Rev Limiter
Im wondering if it would be possible to put a Bee R Rev limiter in my 1988 2.8l v6 camaro. Other people have used older cars and wire it to the clutch, i was wondering if anyone had any info on how to do that on a third gen; specifically a 2.8l v6. If anyone has any info on wiring or if you know anyone who has done this to a 3rd gen.

Why do you need a rev limiter on a 2.8 V6? I don't know if it has enough umf to overrev itself and certainly you can't be that slow to shift in time.

Re: Bee R Rev Limiter
its not because its slow shifting, i want 2 step so i can launch and shoot flames better without abusing my actual rev limiter. My car can shoot flames when i hit the limiter so i wanted to be able to set a limiter lower like 3k or 3.5k rpms when holding the clutch.

I had a 2.8 shoot fire out the exhaust on just one occasion... the pickup coil had failed while running somewhere around 90mph.
Why do you want to bounce off a rev limiter and shoot flames? It's not real complicated to launch a 2.8 car without a bunch of wheel spin.

Dude, i shoot flames out my tail pipe when i eat too much texas style chili. My wife would be thrilled if a rev limiter would help w this.

A rev limiter is in the tune to cut fuel. Im very confused on what you actually want to do.

C'mon, man. Get with the program! He wants some flame shooting action...like on the Fast & The Furious. But he wants his flame shooting to happen at 3500 RPM because the tork is higher there.

How is a 2.8 shooting flames? Lol. I don't think the 2.8 even has a factory limiter. The L03 didnt.

Re: Bee R Rev Limiter
Also wondering if by "shooting flames", he just means that the exhaust is popping.... my decatted 3.1 will pop a little on decel, but I suppose I can't confirm whether or not it shoots flames since I generally don't see the tailpipes while I'm driving
fairly certain there's no flames, though. Would have to be running pretty dang rich to achieve that, assuming the motor is mostly stock.I suppose on the topic of aftermarket spark limiters for 2-step though, reminded me of FastEddi's old turbo 3.1 build thread.... He used an MSD spark box alongside the factory (er, converted to DIS at this point) ignition to act as a 2-step on launches (it was referred to as "antilag" a few times, but eventually corrected to 2-step). Here's page 11 of that thread, I just used Ctrl+F to search for "MSD" there. There should also be a link to FastEddi's youtube channel on that thread somewhere, he posted a video of a 2-step test with the full hybrid/ turbo build done up... don't recall seeing flames, but it's been awhile since I watched it
